The Vilna Shul, Boston’s Center for Jewish Culture seeks a part time Capital Campaign Coordinator to help with various administrative aspects of its capital campaign. Reporting to the Executive Director and working with senior staff and board members, this team player is responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to manage the campaign. 

The Vilna’s strategic plan is to restore its historic building as the center of Jewish cultural and spiritual life in downtown Boston. The organization is embarking on an ambitious capital campaign to fully restore the building to its original glory, to provide the necessary renovations to make the building universally accessible to all, and to raise the monies required to fund an endowment for future needs and for resources to enhance programming.

Infrastructure and procedure in place for considerable work to be done remotely. Compensation and schedule negotiable. Part-time, or job share opportunity.  

 

Responsibilities:

-Maintain ongoing database of donors, leads, and prospects
-Schedule and coordinate donor meetings
-Schedule and coordinate campaign committee meetings, prepare agendas, record and distribute minutes
-Manage action items and owners all the way through timely task completion
-Provide regular and detailed reporting across all campaign areas
-Process and manage pledge agreements and reminders
-Process donations and other receivables and track pledges and outstanding gifts
-Facilitate and process timely donor acknowledgement letters
-Provide support to the Director of Development for all activities related to the coordination of fundraising events regarding capital campaign elements
-Positively contribute to the teamwork, learning, and collaborative spirit of a small office

 

Qualifications:

-Significant professional experience in fundraising administration and three or more years preferred
-Excellent administration and support skills
-Proven ability to work independently, manage time, handle pressure, and meet deadlines/goals
-Ability to share information concisely and quickly
-Attention to detail and accuracy
-Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and data entry
-Comfort working with high net worth individuals
-Exceptional management and interpersonal skills as well as ability to develop relationships with individuals and organizational leaders
-Flexibility, sense of humor, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a changing landscape
-Confidentiality is essential
