Series: The Vilna Shul Speakers’ Series
The Vilna Shul Speakers' Series features leading voices from Boston and beyond. Topics vary but involve the speakers' professional and life experiences, and personal interests. The Series draws on voices from journalism, technology, law, finance, biotechnology and life sciences, arts and culture, and other fields. These events are sometimes organized in a fireside chat format; some times in a conventional speech format. Either way, these events are meant to be both entertaining and educational, and help reintroduce the Vilna Shul to the Boston-area community after years of neglect. (Depending on speaker availability and interest, these events will be held mostly on a Tuesday or Wednesday night, or less frequently on a Sunday morning.)- October 16th – Ken Novack, Vice Chairman of America Online (AOL) / Time Warner, and special advisor to General Catalyst Partners
- November 7th – Irving Wladawsky-Berger – Chairman Emeritus, IBM Academy of Technology, involved in a number of IBM's technical strategy and innovation initiatives, and Visiting Professor of Engineering Systems at MIT
